Venezuela is returning home on Tuesday, October 1 to celebrate with their families and the country their historic win at the Women's U-17 Sudamericano, the first Venezuela title in CONMEBOL and FIFA competitions.
The team, led by their coach Panamanian Kenneth Zseremeta, will be welcomed by national authorities, their families and fans in general.
The Venezuelans won the competition going undefeated, with three wins in the initial phase (to Ecuador, Colombia and Uruguay) and a draw with Brazil. In the finals they beat Chile, Colombia and Paraguay (7-1) for the title.
They punched their ticket to the 2014 Costa Rica World Cup and to the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.
The young women join the U-17 men's team which qualified for the 2013 UAE World Cup.
